Bill dedicated 42 years of his life working at Eagles Supermarket, where he was known for his hard work and friendly demeanor. In 2002, he moved from Joliet, Illinois to Galatia, Illinois.
Bill was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church community. His faith and kindness were evident to all who knew him. Bill had a passion for gardening and spent many joyful hours tending to his plants. He also had a cherished collection of model cars and trucks that reflected his lifelong interest in automobiles.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita (Kittinger) Lindsey, whom he married on December 24, 1960. Anita passed away on August 11, 2012. Their loving marriage was a testament to their enduring bond and devotion.
He is survived by his three children: Curtis Lindsey, who shares his life with Avernell Boatner; James Lindsey, who is married to Tammy Lindsey; and Deborah McFarland, who shares her life with Terry Tripp. Bill also leaves behind his sister, Delia Ann Ogle, who was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Ogle.
