Gaila Dawn Frailey, 61 of Thompsonville, IL passed away Sunday, October 15,2023. Gaila was born on September 9,1962, in Peoria, IL to the late James Jr. and Ruth (Beames) Rumsey.

Gaila married Roger Frailey on September 9, 1992. He preceded her in death on August 30,2022. Gaila loved her 5 beautiful granddaughters and enjoyed spending time with them. Gaila had a love for old country music, playing the guitar, gardening and had a huge passion for cooking. If somebody was playing pranks and being silly it was definitely Gaila.  Her sense of humor will always be remembered.

Gaila is survived by her 2 children; Donald H. Rumsey, Tanya Frailey (Stetson Dial); 5 siblings, Sheila Jennings, James (Jane) Rumsey, Roberta (Bruce) Jeter, Sara Pyles, Traci Rumsey; 5 grandchildren, Paisley, Emeri, Brynlee, Rylee and Gracelyn and a special brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Frailey.

Gaila was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sons and brother, Donald G. (Susan) Rumsey.

Gaila had a love for animals and will be greatly missed by her 2 dogs; Oakie and Koda Jake. Oakie is quiet and layed back while Koda Jake loves to run around and bark. Gaila was preceded in death by her grand dog, Rum. Rum always went to grandmas when his family went on trips or were out of town.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia at 2:00pm with visitation from 12:00pm until funeral hour. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery in Thompsonville. Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia in charge of arrangements.
